Engels brothers clocked their pigeons at 13.49 hr for a distance of 545,711 km with a speed of 1385,05 m/m. They win national Argenton against 3935 old pigeons.
The Enges family basketted on Argenton 13 old pigeons, 13 yearlings and 33 young birds.
Old pigeons : 1st, 4th, 48th ...national against 3935 old pigeons.
Yearlings : 14th, 15th, 48th, ... against 4822 yearlings.
For the youngsters : 32nd, 52nd, 53th, 64th , 75th ...against 21.272 young pigeons. So Engels won 5 pigeons in the first 75 national against more than 21000 pigeons ! This is a great result….
This year they already won 1st national + 4 provincial + 1 Interprovincial victory

2005 top results :
11th of June – 1st provincial Chateauroux 4249 Yls with the "6231540/04" , he is a son of “Den Argenton”.
2nd of July – 1st Interprovincial La Souterraine 2917 Yls with the "6231624/04".
30th of July – 1st Prov Bourges 1639 Yls with the "6231634/04".
16th of July – 1st Provincial Orleans 2219 Old pigeons with "6226043/03" or “Den Argenton”.
13th of Aug – 1st Provincial and 1st National Argenton 377 duiven prov. en 3935 duiven nationaal. "6226043/03".

System :
The Engels brothers started this year with about 50 widowers + 30 widow hens to race total widowhood + about 120 early youngsters…those youngsters are raced on widowhood with old pigeons… The old pigons and the yearlings raced the middle distance programme, the youngsters only raced 3 rather short middle distance races, national Bourges 30th of July, the young hens the provincial race from Le Mans on 6th of August + all youngsters on national Argenton on 13/08/05.
From 1989 up to now Engels brothers won 11 national and about 74 provincial races.
