The aim of our ‘PPQC Quality Control’ is to make a report about the different qualities of a pigeon (body, wings, muscles, vitality) which is as objective as possible. A test report is primarily used as a reference for the buyer so that he can get a better view of the pigeon on auction. After all, a picture is only a picture.
You can read the quality report of a pigeon by unfolding the ‘More details’ menu and scrolling down, or by clicking directly on “PIPA Quality control approved” next to the picture. You can click on the “i” next to every characteristic to learn more about how the pigeons are examined.

Hallo Pipa Team

Hi PIPA team
I'm blown away by your new quality system. The details on each pigeon are really specific.
PIPA is always several steps ahead of its competitors.
With kind regards,
Peter Bachmann
Mooie informatieve meerwaarde bij de internetverkoop!
Uniek denk ik op de wereld.
Chapeau!
Wonderful, but will we ever see the words, "Poor,Weak,Bad", I think not. Yet again another clever little sales gimmick of no real value. PIPA you don't need these things, it seems the average pigeon fancier has loads of money to spend on over priced pigeons. Don't waste your time.
Looking forward to seeing the not so "TOTAL" sale of Marcel Sangers.
@Dirk, Ja
mooi zo; een meerwaarde !!
This is a wonderful approaches for customer care and service. This is good answer for the customer. Any one can read and judge the pigeon by looking the picture too. This will help PIPA one step ahead from others. We talk about quality. It will help us to know the better quality pigeon.
Pipa first? i know other that doe this already 4 years and i told them the same as now
it can help but is certainly no garanty.
But what is for 1 person nice and good is for another fancier not good at all.
What if you have got a examination and after buying the pigeon it's different than this list,
only because you have other meanings concerning muscless, feather's ect...
Go see to a auction and ask visitors after what they have market as 5 best pigeons in auction?
When the're 200 people in auction room you get 50 different opinions...
Hello Jan, Barcaplayer,...
- Thanks for your reactions and your willingness to share your opinion.
- I understand your reactions for sure. My reaction initially also was similar. I used to always say that I have already seen many good birds that don't look that nice in hand. But step by step I have learned that many buyers do not want only good birds but also beautiful birds in hand that meet up with certain criteria.
- We don't pretend that we are able to say if the bird is good or bad ! We only try to describe how the bird looks like, based on all these charachterics.
- A beautiful bird does not mean a good bird, but it means beautiful!
- We have experienced based on our 10 years of experience in the field of trading pigeons, that buyers do not care only about if a pigeon is good or bad, but also care about how a pigeon looks like while handling.
- PIPA might not be the first one to handle the birds, but we are the first ones to do it this way and to publish it in our auctions together with every pigeon that is for sale. Before we also judged pigeons, but we only sent it to the customer who asked for it.
Feel free to give your opinion or your advice, we can only learn from it !
Best regards,
Nikolaas
Interesting, I never knew you guys did this. I would like to see how the characteristics of the pigeons I bought were rated. Thanks
WOW YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT YOU DOING SUPER SMART .
