Koopman & Jonker ensured another successful weekend.

Once again a fantastic auction weekend on PiPa.

On Saturday the 23rd of January the auction of Peter Jonker, a lesser known name in the pigeon sport, but well owner of a collection of super pigeons, came to an end. Peter’s pigeons were auctioned for an average price of 1.783 euro per pigeon! A monumental success.

On Sunday the 24th of January the auction of Gerard Koopman ended. With a price of 4.363 euro per pigeon, or more than 183.000 euro for a collection of 40 summer youngsters 2009 and 2 youngsters still in the nest ( from magic man ) 2010, a fabulous amount! The pigeons were sold all over the world. The interest in the Koopman-pigeons is worldwide. The most expensive pigeon goes to no-one less than Erik Limbourg from Brussegem, who counted out 25.200 euro for a unique, beautiful daughter of the dromer, when the dromer was coupled with his own daughter. A wonder of a hen, which we definitely haven’t heard the last of!
