Zaterdag 24 maart 2012 heeft Robert Van Eycken ons verlaten. Robert was een icoon van de Belgische duivensport op de fondvluchten.De neergezette prestatie van zijn duiven spreken boekdelen. Zijn inzet en zijn gedrevenheid maken sprakeloos. Soms dachten wij dat hij kon toveren.

Graag kondigen we u de ‘kijkdag’ aan omtrent de totale verkoop van de kolonie van tweevoudig "Keizer van de Brabantse Unie", "Mister Marseille" met name Robert Van Eycken uit Erps-Kwerps! Om zich een beter beeld te kunnen vormen van bepaalde van deze klasrijke duiven, hebben we ook hier voor u een ‘kijkdag’ georganiseerd.

Robert Van Eycken, one of the most laureated long distance colonies of our Belgian pigeon sport, announced his departure at 85 years old due to urgent medical reasons.... Despite his age, Robert has managed to win best long distance pigeon of Belgium over 4 long distance races twice over the last three years, a unique achievement. In this auction all the birds of Robert Van Eycken, in total 130.
