It must have been around the period 1993-1994 when we first came into contact with Marc De Cock. At the time he was a young chap in his (late) 20’s who was making a ‘rush’ towards ‘national top’, even ‘world top’… both in his profession as in the pigeon sport!
As a result of the auction of Jos Thoné on the 18th of December 2010, the references from fanciers who have been successful with the noble Thoné pigeons have stormed in.
The race from Narbonne was the penultimate international classic of the racing season. With 13.531 pigeons at the start (just over 900 less than the previous season)… including 6.362 Belgian pigeons… the organisers had a nice number of pigeons in the basket for this top classic.
