UK-Hattrick at 16th Sun City Million Dollar Race with Phillip Bond competing against 4,229 pigeons

I telephoned Phillip bright and early and got him out of bed and congratulated him on his fine win. I think he was shell shocked with the news to say the least. This was yet another remarkable performance by a United Kingdom Team Member as this was actually the third Brand New Motor Car we had won in the first three Car Race Hot Spot Races in this record breaking 2011/12 race series.

The winning pigeon named GRIBBLES CHOICE TWO is bred from SU2007P543 which was bred by the late Dale Newcombe from Macmerry, Scotland and was bred from SU1996P3167 from his super pigeon Gold Award winning pigeon named Kardale Style that won 113th Open SNFC Rennes 1998, 543 miles, 26th Open SNFC 1998 Sartilly, 500 miles, 84th Open SNFC Sartilly 1999, 500 miles, 15th Open SNFC Leige 2001, 505 miles and also 55th Open SNFC Kings Cup Race Reims, 548 miles. Dam of 543 was SU1988E03544 she was a sister to Lothian Lass, a fantastic prize winner in the SNFC and also a Gold Award winner. The dam of GRIBBLES CHOICE TWO was NWHU2006N46832 a Vandenabelle hen that won 7th Open Europa Classic 2006 for Peter Fox of Syndicate Lofts from Bangor being from GB2001D50320 son of Belg1997.3305824 Asterix x Belg1993.3050255 Blue Spirit, both pigeons are full of top class Vandenabelle winning bloodlines. Dam of NWHU2006N46832 was GB2003C53614 again bred by Peter Fox Syndicate Lofts from Bangor, being a daughter of Belg1997.3157146 Blue Diamond x Belg2001.6135254 Marita both full of top class Vandenabelle winning bloodlines.

What make this win even more remarkable is that a pigeon exactly the same bred as GRIBBLES CHOICE TWO actually won 1st OPEN RPRA ONE LOFT RACE 2011 from 219 miles and won for Phillip a cool £20,000 First Prize and also £459 in Pools (total won US$31,000).

Congratulations should also go to Neville & Angie Evans and Steve Cuthbert from Wolviston for winning 1st UK 343 pigeons, 1st OPEN from 196km (121 miles) in Car Race Hot Spot 1 against 4,462 pigeons on Saturday 26th November from 196km (121 miles) with a winning velocity of 1492ypm (51mph) with their pigeon named Burntoft Sydnee, plus US$1,000 (£667) in Prize Money and then Congratulations must also go to Robert & Peter Montila from Everton, near Sandy who then won 1st UK 351 pigeons, 2nd OPEN from 257km (160 miles) in Car Race Hot Spot 2 against 4,423 pigeons on Tuesday 13th December with a winning velocity of 1322ypm (45mph) with their pigeon named Solitaire Super VR which also won US$1,000 (£667) in Prize Money.

All these three United Kingdom Car Winners will now be competing in the Final Race in Sun City on Saturday 28th January 2012 from 550km (342 miles), when over US$1 million American Dollars (£667,000 Sterling) will be up for grabs with a massive First Prize of US$200,000 (£134,000 Sterling). The top ten Cash Prize amount to a cool US$545,000 (£364,000 Sterling). There are also a further 299 superb cash prizes to be won, plus trophies, US$25,000 (£16,667 Sterling) to the Knockout Winner and also ten fantastic Gold Medals for the first ten Activated pigeon clocked in the Final Race.
